Associate Legal Counsel - Commercial Contracts - Remote

In Short

• Draft and negotiate purchasing contracts, sales, licensing, and other agreements.
• Counsel business leaders on risk, deal structuring, and negotiation strategy.
• Focus mainly on procurement agreements and negotiations.
• Advise on compliance with contractual responsibilities and applicable laws/regulations.
• Manage external counsel and support various internal departments.
• Lead significant projects to improve processes and create scalable solutions.
• Work independently with limited supervision.
• Mentor and review the work of junior professionals.
• 1-3 years of functional experience including SAAS and software licensing.
• Licensed to practice law in the state employed.

Requirements

• Experience negotiating software license agreements and IP-related agreements.
• Functional knowledge of technical information needed in various departments.
• Strong knowledge of technology and systems used by software companies.
• Ability to improve internal processes and systems.
• Experience with Data Processing Agreements and privacy/security issues.
