The Senior Director is responsible for overseeing portfolio-level federal policy and advocacy.

In Short

  • Develop and execute federal policy initiatives to support Acadia products.
  • Engage with regulatory agencies like HHS, CMS, and FDA.
  • Represent Acadia with lawmakers to advance policy priorities.
  • Monitor and analyze relevant pharmaceutical and healthcare policies.
  • Engage with industry organizations to advance policy priorities.
  • Grow visibility in policy arenas and develop alliances.
  • Collaborate to develop position papers and policy materials.
  • Serve as a source of knowledge on reimbursement and regulatory policies.
  • Build strong relationships with internal partners.
  • Brief business partners on public policy changes impacting business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 12 years of experience in government affairs and policy.
  • Experience in a corporate environment, preferably in biopharma.
  • Strong understanding of political and policy-making processes.
  • In-depth knowledge of healthcare policy issues.
  • Experience working across multiple functions to achieve goals.
  • Ability to communicate complex policy issues effectively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a matrix environment.
  • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
