Overview

The Scientific Director, Medical Affairs provides strategic and operational input into core medical affairs activities, enhancing therapeutic benefit and value, and safeguarding patient safety.

• Initiates medical affairs activities and data generation.
• Responsible for design and reporting of scientific content.
• Oversees Medical Affairs-led clinical studies.
• Provides in-house clinical expertise for ongoing projects.

• Develops scientifically accurate marketing materials and medical education programs.
• Coordinates scientific activities with internal stakeholders.

• Ensures compliance with budgets and timelines.

Requirements

• PhD or PharmD with post doctorate experience preferred.
• 7-10 years of experience in Medical Affairs.
• 10-15 years in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent.
• 4+ years of clinical trials direct management experience.
• Knowledge of clinical trial methodology and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to run a clinical study independently.
• Proven leadership skills in a global team environment.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
