In Short

• Responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to the Patient Financial Services department.
• Process non-electronic correspondence and serve as the local mail processor.
• Maintain efficient operations and ensure excellent service to patients regarding their financial matters.
• Hybrid schedule: required to be in the office 3 out of 5 days a week.
• Assist with verifying insurance coverage and coordinating patient benefits.
• Perform billing workflows and resolve correspondence dashboard.
• Prepare, print, and support the mailing of patient statements and collection letters.
• Provide general administrative support to the billing department.
• Support Patient Financial Services Specialists with making outbound calls.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
• 1+ years of experience in healthcare billing or patient accounts preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience with medical billing software and EHR systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Customer service-oriented with the ability to handle sensitive financial discussions.
