Patient Services Associate - Main OR - Remote

Overview

The Patient Services Associate supports the nursing unit by performing clerical tasks and assisting with direct patient care under the supervision of RNs and clinical managers.

In Short

• Assist patients with direct care and comfort measures.
• Perform clerical support tasks related to medical records.
• Document patient care tasks and vital signs accurately.
• Communicate effectively with team members regarding patient needs.
• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
• Provide information and support to patients and visitors.
• Work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 1 year of patient care experience in healthcare.
• Successful completion of UAMS PCT and PSC courses within 90 days.
• Preferred: 2+ years of patient care and clerical experience.
• Experience in a perioperative or outpatient setting is a plus.
