Patient Services Associate - Remote

Overview

The Patient Services Associate (PSA) in the Psychiatric Research Institute (PRI) Women's Inpatient Unit provides both clerical and patient care support under the supervision of the Clinical Services Manager and Registered Nurse.

• Provides clerical and patient care support.
• Assists with processing medical records for patient admission and discharge.
• Communicates effectively with team members to facilitate patient care.
• Assists with patient admission, transfer, and discharge.
• Documents patient care tasks and vital signs accurately.
• Completes UAMS-sponsored conflict management training.
• Follows written and verbal instructions from nursing staff.
• Participates in a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
• Provides grooming and comfort measures to patients.
• Transports patients as directed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of work experience in the health care field.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to accept and follow instructions.
• Successful completion of UAMS PCT and PSC courses.
