Xello is looking for a Strategic Business Development Manager who is a highly-driven, results-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and the resilience to overcome any challenge. This role involves driving new business development with North America's largest school districts while fostering trust and building credibility with educators.

In Short

  • Drive new business development with North America's largest school districts.
  • Prospect new districts while collaborating with a strategic sales consultant.
  • Develop break-through strategies and creative approaches to building awareness, relationships, and trust.
  • Source new sales pipeline through outreach methods including phone, email, events, and social selling.
  • Develop strategies to strengthen a network of key relationships over time.
  • Attend conferences, customer visits, and other networking events.
  • Engage leads through high-value follow-up communications.
  • Qualify leads using specific guidelines and criteria in Salesforce (CRM).
  • Prioritize and organize the lead pipeline for maximum efficiency.
  • Ensure all sales activities are accurately recorded in Salesforce.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the K-12 market and challenges educators face.
  • Previous experience in a K-12 school district as an educator or administrator.
  • Ability and confidence to cold-call and engage in meaningful discussions.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
  • Empathetic and genuine manner of communicating.
  • Highly motivated and self-directed.
  • Resilient, with a positive outlook and drive to succeed.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • A team player open to growth and development.
