Overview

Parsons is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee major construction projects for rail and bus transit operations, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery.

In Short

• Oversee major construction projects for rail & bus transit operations.
• Provide managerial and supervisory support to a local transit agency’s construction program.
• Mentor project team members and foster teamwork.
• Plan, direct, supervise, and control execution of business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions.
• Establish Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan.
• Monitor project deliverables for adherence to program requirements.
• Act as primary point of contact within the Client.
• Manage complex budgets and schedules.
• Required to be local (DMV area) and onsite during operational hours.
• 15+ years of experience managing large construction projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in managing large projects.
• Relevant bus or rail facility construction experience.
• Experience with Design-Build and incentive-based contracts.
• Proven ability to manage complex budgets and schedules.
• Knowledge of working in the public sector.
• Ability to pass a government background check.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• AIA Certification and/or CCM certification desired.
