QA Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are searching for a QA Specialist to join our team. This is a fully remote position and the successful individual could be based anywhere in the world. You will work with an amazing Team building relationships and ensuring the products and services offered by Wishpond are utilized by clients throughout Canada and the US. This role is instrumental in the development of test processes, analyzing test results and maximizing the effectiveness of new releases. In collaboration with the Business Development Department, the QA Specialist is responsible for the success of Wishpond Technologies Ltd.

In Short

• Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and cases
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and improve test processes including setting up test environments and tools
• Design, develop, execute test cases, analyze results and create test reports
• Identify, record and document bugs
• Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
• Work with the Development Team to collect software requirements
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Application support and troubleshooting
• Extensive knowledge and experience in software testing and quality
• Solid understanding of common browsers and Windows operating system
• Experience with manual/exploratory testing and agile software QA
• Experience with common developer tools and HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Ruby on Rails
• Must be detail oriented and self-motivated
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Fluent in English; knowledge of a second language is an asset
