Trust & Safety Associate, Compliance - Remote

Overview

As a Trust & Safety Associate on Wattpad’s Trust and Safety team, you will support platform compliance projects that help ensure user and content safety. You will work alongside trust and safety professionals dedicated to creating a safe, enjoyable experience for all users.

In Short

• Respond to community tickets related to various safety issues.
• Identify and escalate content to Law Enforcement when necessary.
• Enforce Wattpad’s Content Guidelines by reviewing reported content.
• Support data privacy initiatives ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Contribute to safety policy creation and enforcement.
• Act as the first line of defense for user and community issues.
• Conduct regular reviews of data access and processing procedures.
• Research and stay updated on global legislation related to compliance.

Requirements

• B.A./B.S. in related fields.
• 2+ years' experience in trust and safety or related fields.
• Strong proficiency with technology and online project management systems.
• Experience working with Zendesk.
• Interest in content policy, compliance, or internet governance.
• Understanding of data privacy regulations and compliance best practices.
