The Immigration Specialist will manage a wide range of immigration application processes for both candidates and employees, providing strategic advice and ensuring compliance.

  • Lead immigration administration for VON Canada.
  • Provide guidance to candidates and employees throughout their immigration journey.
  • Prepare and track immigration applications.
  • Monitor work permits and renewals.
  • Partner with teams to support workforce planning goals.
  • Assess risks related to immigration processes.
  • Contribute to internal education on immigration policies.
  • Ensure compliance with immigration laws.
  • Stay current on immigration policy changes.
  • Maintain organized records and documentation.

Requirements

  • A relevant degree or certification in immigration law or human resources.
  • Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultant (RCIC) license.
  • 3+ years of experience managing Canadian immigration cases.
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial immigration programs.
  • Strong communication skills with cultural awareness.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • High proficiency with Windows OS and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Criminal Records check required.
  • Ability to speak French is an asset.
