Overview

The Employee Relations Specialist is responsible for resolving employee relations matters, performance management issues, and investigating employee complaints to ensure fair treatment across the organization.

In Short

  • Address sensitive employee concerns and investigations
  • Provide guidance on policy violations and performance management
  • Conduct independent investigations and prepare summaries
  • Support leaders with team member behavior and performance issues
  • Maintain records of investigations and compliance
  • Consult with Legal Counsel on Employee Relations issues
  • Conduct exit interviews with departing team members
  • Manage metrics and report on Employee Relations activities
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state labor laws
  • Promote an inclusive and respectful workplace culture

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • 5 years of HR experience with 2 years in Employee Relations
  • Knowledge of state and federal employment laws
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to analyze complex issues and summarize them
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage reporting
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP certification preferred
