Overview

VitalSource is hiring an Account Development Executive to contribute to our Sales team located in Canada. This is a remote opportunity with moderate travel (up to 30%) for customer visits and occasional travel for team conferences and meetings.

In Short

  • Proactively identify and qualify high-potential prospects to build a strong sales pipeline.
  • Develop and execute a territory-specific sales strategy.
  • Engage prospective clients through outbound calling, in-person meetings, and digital outreach.
  • Assess and prioritize leads for efficient pipeline management.
  • Act as a consultative partner aligning institutional goals with VitalSource products.
  • Achieve and exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
  • Accurately forecast sales activity and maintain records in Salesforce.
  • Demonstrate expertise in digital content delivery.
  • Communicate institutional needs to internal teams for customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations tailored to institutional objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in sales, preferably in SaaS or edtech sectors.
  • Experience with campus bookstores or academic institutions is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRMs.
  • Proven success in a consultative, solution-based selling approach.
  • Strong track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Solid understanding of market trends and the higher education landscape.
  • Skilled in sales planning and lead generation.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic plans to grow territory revenue.
