Overview

As a Lead Backend Engineer at Vida, you will be responsible for owning and scaling healthcare data systems, designing and optimizing ETL pipelines, and guiding the engineering team to support data science and product initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 6–8+ years of backend or data engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in Python or another backend language.
• Experience designing and managing ETL pipelines.
• Familiarity with healthcare data formats and workflows.
• Experience with databases and data warehouses.
• Cloud infrastructure knowledge (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and healthcare integration standards.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers.
• Bonus: experience with payer integrations or high-volume healthcare data.
