The Foundations team sits at the heart of Vanta’s architecture and is critical to unlocking current and future Vanta products. We fetch, process, and serve the core resource and evidence data that powers Vanta. As a member of this team, you’ll work on the source-of-truth systems that enable core Vanta compliance and auditing experiences.

We’re looking for a senior backend engineer who thrives on shipping quickly, solving real customer problems, and building reliable systems that scale.

In Short

• Improve the scalability and reliability of core data systems.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in backend engineering.
• Experience with robust distributed systems and scaling challenges.
• Strong focus on understanding and solving customer problems.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments valuing decisive action.
• Experience leading technical projects from concept to completion.
