Senior Software Engineer - FoundationDB - Remote

Overview

We are on a mission to build the best platform for our engineers to deliver stateful services at high scale, providing High Performance Transaction Systems to all Datadog developers with a focus on simplicity, reliability, durability, and availability.

In Short

• Design, build and maintain infrastructure for high customer volume.
• Investigate and fix issues in platform code or client applications.
• Support services and datastores 24x7.
• Build tooling and automation for infrastructure management.
• Collaborate with developers on data models and datastore options.

Requirements

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or related field or 5 years of experience.
• Production experience with distributed systems (e.g., Zookeeper, Cassandra, Postgres).
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language (e.g., Go, Java, Rust).
• Desire to work in a fast, high-growth startup environment.
• Ability to design simple and performant architecture for high scale.
• Bonus: Hands-on experience with major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
