Overview

Traliant is seeking a Payroll & HR Specialist to support the employee experience by managing payroll and HR responsibilities in a remote-first environment.

In Short

• Manage end-to-end payroll for a multi-state U.S. and Canadian remote workforce.
• Review and validate timesheets for accurate wage calculations.
• Conduct regular audits of payroll data for compliance.
• Collaborate with Finance to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain payroll tax accounts and ensure timely filing of reports.
• Support HR programs including onboarding and compliance training.
• Act as a resource for employee questions related to payroll and benefits.
• Contribute to HR projects focused on process improvement.
• Work closely with a collaborative HR team.
• Adapt to evolving needs of a growing HR team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of payroll and HR generalist experience.
• Experience with Canada payroll is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of payroll processing and employment laws.
• Hands-on experience with HRIS platforms.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional attention to detail and confidentiality.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-service orientation.
• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
