Overview

As an HR and Payroll Specialist at Wave, you will manage payroll, HR operations, and benefits within the US Hub, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across multiple countries.

In Short

• Process multi-state payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Manage relationships with external payroll providers.
• Support internal and external payroll audits.
• Oversee HR administrative tasks like employee onboarding and health insurance setup.
• Handle sensitive HR cases including employee relations and contract management.
• Administer health and retirement benefits.
• Ensure compliance with employment regulations.
• Collaborate with global HR and finance teams.
• Identify and implement improvements in payroll systems.
• Maintain payroll records and address queries promptly.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in global payroll management.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field.
• Payroll/HR Certification (CPP or equivalent).
• Deep understanding of US and Canadian tax regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and experience with payroll software.
• Proven ability to navigate complex payroll challenges.
• Excellent organizational skills and ownership of tasks.
• Experience with Google Sheets.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Detail-oriented and driven to achieve excellence.
