Overview

The Territory Account Manager - State and Local Gov't & Education Focus is responsible for establishing and developing business through existing and new clients in assigned regions and/or territories, focusing on State and Local Gov't agencies.

In Short

  • Maintain and develop existing client base through regional marketing and direct sales activities.
  • Identify, qualify and develop new opportunities through prospecting and networking.
  • Manage and maintain sales pipeline and target key accounts.
  • Achieve assigned sales budgets and objectives.
  • Provide sales forecasts.
  • Manage sales personnel in the region.
  • Consistently achieve assigned quotas and revenue objectives.
  • Utilize channel sales resources as necessary.
  • Stay updated on competitive market intelligence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience selling into SLED.
  • Consultative selling style.
  • Competency with sales tracking tools.
  • Outstanding communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with accurate work capability.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time.
