Overview

Sotheby’s is seeking a VP, Head of Contemporary Marquee Sales to oversee the Contemporary Art Evening Auction and The Now Evening Auction, contributing to sourcing works and coordinating both auctions.

• Provide strategic and creative oversight for contemporary art auctions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Art History or related field.
• 5 years of experience with contemporary art valuation.
• 5 years of experience managing client relationships.
• 5 years of experience in writing and presenting sales proposals.
• 3 years of experience with high-value consignments.
• 1 year of experience analyzing auction business economics.
• Ability to work in various unanticipated locations in the U.S.
