Senior Software Engineer in Test - Remote

Overview

This role is for an experienced Software Engineer in Test to join our team at Sotheby’s. The ideal candidate has expertise with quality processes and technical leadership in high-level test designs in CI/CD and local environments, developing scalable test automation solutions to enable high-quality continuous testing.

In Short

• Collaborate with Engineers, Product Managers, and DevOps to drive quality initiatives.
• Develop monitoring tools and common frameworks for quality initiatives.
• Drive best practices in test automation code design and maintenance.
• Analyze requirements and functionality to develop automated tests.
• Conduct system analysis to uncover quality issues.
• Mentor engineers on test automation and tooling.
• Assist in resolving technical blockers in automation initiatives.
• Maintain test frameworks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science/engineering or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years as a Sr. Software Developer in Test for web-based products.
• Proficient in multiple object-oriented and scripting languages.
• Strong analytical and leadership skills.
• Experience in creating user-friendly documentation for technical processes.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Selenium, TestNG, and Appium.
• Knowledge of cloud technologies including K8s and Docker.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and distributed environment.
• Good understanding of DevOps tools and CI/CD systems.
• Enthusiastic about learning new technologies and skilled in communication.
