Delivery Implementation Consultant - IBM i - Remote

Overview

The Delivery Implementation Consultant – IBM i is responsible for leading the successful implementation of customer projects on IBM i Power platforms. This role ensures that all customer requirements are clearly understood and executed according to defined timelines and delivery objectives.

In Short

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of customer projects on IBM i Power platforms.
• Perform physical onsite hardware installations of IBM Power Servers.
• Execute system migrations using various methods.
• Collaborate with technical subject matter experts and project managers.
• Ensure project documentation is accurate and handed off seamlessly.
• Provide subject matter expert level advice to Technical Pre-Sales.
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
• Provide support to both internal and external customers.

Requirements

• Deep expertise with IBM Power hardware infrastructure and IBM i OS.
• Experience with LPAR/HMC configuration.
• Knowledge of SAN/storage integration & PowerHA.
• Familiarity with replication tools like Mimix or QuickEDD.
• Proficiency in performance analysis and IBM i automation.
• Strong project documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Knowledge of IBM i security best practices.
• Experience with SQL, scripting, and systems integration.
