Overview

As a Head of Privacy & Security, Legal you will act as the primary legal architect for global privacy and data security, defining and executing strategies that align with international regulations.

• Develop and execute a global legal strategy for privacy and data security.
• Partner with Security, Engineering, and IT teams to integrate legal requirements.
• Lead legal responses for complex incidents.
• Manage privacy aspects of global contracts.
• Establish data ethics for AI and machine learning initiatives.
• Provide expert guidance on privacy, security, and compliance matters.
• Support Commercial team on privacy aspects of work.
• Negotiate privacy and security components of contracts.
• Ensure legal requirements are integrated into technical operations.
• Navigate complex security events with precision.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience practicing law, with a focus on privacy and data security.
• Significant experience negotiating commercial contracts.
• Deep understanding of cloud architecture and API integrations.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and an active license to practice law in the U.S.
• Understanding of global privacy laws including GDPR and CCPA.
• A pragmatic approach to law prioritizing business enablement.
