Head of Security - Remote

Overview

Turbopuffer is seeking a security and compliance expert to take our posture to the next level.

In Short

• Infuse your vision for security into every process and engineering decision.
• Handle security operations, including threat detection and response, vulnerability and incident management, etc.
• Implement security related features within the Turbopuffer codebase.
• Own and enhance our existing SOC 2 and HIPAA programs.
• Work directly with our customers’ security teams to build trust.
• Implement additional standards (e.g. ISO 27k) based on customer demand.
• Grow the security team over time.

Requirements

• Experience leading security in a cloud-native environment.
• Comfortable programming and implementing security systems yourself.
• Ability to write well and explain complex ideas clearly.
• Passion for infosec is contagious.
