Overview

Mozilla is seeking a seasoned legal leader to head our Product & Privacy Legal teams, managing a team of senior legal professionals and driving strategic legal support across various products.

• Manage and develop a high-performing team of senior product and privacy professionals.
• Build strong relationships on privacy and product issues balancing legal risk and user trust.
• Advise Mozilla’s leadership on legal matters related to products and privacy.
• Collaborate with Legal & Policy teams on product and privacy intersections.
• Set strategic vision for the Product & Privacy Legal teams.
• Evaluate and improve legal processes related to product development.
• Mentor and support the professional development of the Legal team.

Requirements

• J.D. degree and membership in a state bar with good standing.
• 10+ years relevant experience in-house at a technology company.
• 5+ years experience managing senior legal professionals.
• Excellent collaboration skills across various legal issues.
• Proven ability to build trust-based relationships with senior leaders.
• Skilled in navigating change and ambiguity in priorities.
• Experience with Ads or AI technologies is a plus.
