Overview

The Principal Proposal & Contract Strategist is a subject matter expert responsible for shaping and executing enterprise-level governance across proposals and contracts, acting as a critical partner to various leadership teams.

In Short

• Lead the full proposal lifecycle for strategic and complex RFPs/RFIs.
• Act as a strategic advisor on bid positioning and pricing logic.
• Coordinate internal input from subject matter experts.
• Guide the creation of high-quality proposal responses.
• Monitor and analyze proposal KPIs and recommend improvements.
• Draft and negotiate various strategic agreements.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards.
• Design and evolve proposal and contract governance frameworks.
• Provide mentorship and drive training for new tools and processes.
• Apply expert-level understanding of contract law principles.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Law, or related field.
• 10+ years in contract research, medical device, or life sciences.
• Strong knowledge of contract research budgets and regulatory environments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
• Experience with Contract Lifecycle Management systems.
• Expertise in supporting global trials and international contracting standards.
