Manager, Preconstruction - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to help support our efforts in solar preconstruction and project execution. The Preconstruction Manager will be instrumental in the pre-subcontract award phase, ensuring that projects are well-planned, feasible, and aligned with our sustainability goals.

• Ensure feasibility criteria are met for potential solar projects.
• Work closely with internal teams to evaluate site conditions and client goals.
• Produce cost estimates and establish budgets for PV and battery storage projects.
• Collaborate with procurement team for accurate equipment costs.
• Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to management.
• Coordinate subcontractor engagement and review financials.
• Create and publish subcontractor RFQs and RFPs.
• Manage engagement with subcontractor partners during preconstruction.
• Participate in internal estimate review meetings and constructability reviews.
• Support the Preconstruction team with deliverables and timeline optimization.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in estimating and project management of solar systems.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in contract review & management.
• Ability to understand technical documentation related to renewable energy.
• Experience evaluating subcontractor bid packages.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.
• Strong organizational capacity to manage multiple opportunities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
