Project Developer - Remote

Overview

The Developer, Project Development, will be involved in site diligence and project development efforts for renewable energy facilities, including solar projects and battery energy storage systems.

In Short

• Manage and lead the creation and submission of permitting documents.
• Meet with landowners and manage lease terms for solar development.
• Organize and maintain project records using internal processes.
• Manage third-party consultants and contractors.
• Attend community events to discuss solar projects.
• Prepare project deliverables for financial closings.
• Evaluate the viability of sites through site visits and reviews.
• Assist with other project development tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in renewable energy development.
• Excellent communication and public relations skills.
• Comfort speaking in public and presenting project concepts.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage complex evaluations.
• Experience with federal, state, and local permitting.
• Understanding of real estate title and related documents.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and ArcGIS.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
