The Healthcare Customer Service Specialist II at Performant plays a vital role in providing professional and timely responses to Medicare and provider inquiries, ensuring a high level of service and support.

In Short

  • Primary point of contact for providers and Medicare contractors.
  • Respond to written, telephonic, and electronic inquiries.
  • Maintain knowledge of contract requirements and objectives.
  • Develop relationships with colleagues and healthcare providers.
  • Conduct follow-ups and research to resolve inquiries.
  • Document all communications in tracking logs.
  • Educate providers on processes and appeal rights.
  • Handle escalated concerns and suggest process improvements.
  • Must maintain HIPAA Certification.
  • Flexible to manage various job duties.

Requirements

  • At least two years of experience in a call center or customer service position.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in claims processing/billing preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled in data entry and computer use.
  • Strong understanding of customer service policies.
  • Ability to learn CMS rules and regulations.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Maintain a strong work ethic and attendance.
  • Must pass a background check and drug test.
