Lead Database Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Lead Database Engineer will work directly with Software Architecture, development, and product teams to design and implement product and process solutions and improve application performance and stability.

• Develop custom stored procedures, views, or user-defined functions.
• Participate in database design and data access strategies.
• Debug and optimize SQL code from applications.
• Support Tier2 development team with database requests.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in administering SQL Server.
• 3+ years of experience in SQL Server 2019 and above.
• 5+ years of experience in MySQL, MariaDB, or PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server Always On and Failover Clustering.
• Familiarity with PowerShell and Python scripting.
• Ability to lead and influence in a fast-moving environment.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience with performance tuning and indexing strategies.
• 5+ years of developing and scaling MS SQL Server SaaS applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
