Database Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are seeking a skilled General Database Engineer to join our team in a hybrid work environment, providing support and guidance to the Application team while ensuring optimal database performance.

In Short

• Provide guidance and support to the Application team for database management.
• Install, tune, implement, and upgrade DBMS installations.
• Write and deploy SQL patches to ensure system stability.
• Proactively recommend system improvements based on performance data.
• Design and implement new databases based on user needs.
• Troubleshoot platform-specific performance issues.
• Continuously monitor databases to ensure high functionality.
• Write support programs and scripts for deployment and operation.
• Debug existing database scripts and programs.
• Review database performance reports regularly.

Requirements

• Expertise in SAP ASE/Sybase, Redis, and Postgres.
• Experience with replication setup and troubleshooting.
• Strong experience with schema creation and maintenance.
• Knowledge of Disaster Recovery setup and maintenance.
• Automation skills using shell-script, Python, Ansible, etc.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
