Risk Analyst - Remote

Overview

The CRU Risk Analyst at Payabli plays a critical role in maintaining the integrity and security of our payment ecosystem. This position is responsible for monitoring merchant activity, analyzing transaction risk, supporting chargeback and dispute processes, and ensuring ongoing compliance with payment network and regulatory standards.

• Implement and maintain a real-time risk monitoring dashboard.
• Refine existing detection rules to improve actionable alerts.
• Analyze transaction-level data to document risk trends.
• Respond to merchant risk inquiries with improved response times.
• Monitor and triage incoming chargebacks.
• Evaluate high-ticket and monthly volume increase requests.
• Collaborate to increase PCI compliance rates.
• Support internal audits of payment compliance processes.
• Maintain compliance tracking tools for regulatory standards.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to mitigate risks.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in risk, fraud, underwriting, or compliance.
• Familiarity with chargeback processes and transaction monitoring.
• Analytical and data-driven with knowledge of Excel, Looker, SQL.
• Strong communication skills for sensitive information requests.
• Able to thrive in fast-paced environments with attention to detail.
• Open to feedback and continuous improvement.
• Experience with ACH returns or risk platforms is a bonus.
