Network Engineer III - Remote

Overview

The Network Engineer III will work as a member of the Network Team, primarily focusing on completing client network projects. This role is responsible for the initial configuration and installation of network hardware, as well as providing support following installation.

In Short

• Document all time daily in the ticketing system.
• Ensure in-progress tickets are handed off before the end of shift.
• Document new customer findings in IT Glue.
• Analyze business requirements to develop network solutions.
• Design, test, and inspect data communication systems.
• Perform network capacity analysis and planning.
• Install and configure network hardware including routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Provide network support for client infrastructure.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.
• Travel to client locations for evaluations and project work.

Requirements

• Advanced network troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency with command-line tools for diagnosing network problems.
• Advanced knowledge of Aruba wireless and switching.
• Advanced knowledge of Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with ticketing software for incident management.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must be able to travel as required.
• Ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Must meet physical requirements with or without accommodation.
