Overview

As the first in-house legal leader at Pair Team, you will build and oversee all legal and compliance functions, reporting to the Chief Medical and Compliance Officer and collaborating with executives across various departments.

In Short

  • Serve as primary legal advisor on various healthcare and corporate matters.
  • Build and lead internal legal processes for risk mitigation and compliance.
  • Provide guidance on Medicaid, Medicare, and product development.
  • Manage contract development and negotiation.
  • Ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
  • Oversee relationships with outside counsel and manage the legal budget.
  • Lead the company's compliance program.
  • Partner with the executive team on governance and fundraising activities.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of legal experience, with 3 years in-house at a healthcare company.
  • JD from an accredited law school; active license in a U.S. jurisdiction.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare regulations, especially Medicaid.
  • Expertise in FDA regulation of healthcare software.
  • Experience in commercial contracting and data privacy.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Strong judgment and business acumen.
  • Passion for healthcare access and serving underserved populations.
