Overview

The Employee Relations Specialist at Pair Team will manage formal employee relations processes, ensuring a fair and legally compliant experience as the company scales.

In Short

  • Own formal employee relations matters from intake through resolution.
  • Lead and execute workplace investigations related to harassment and misconduct.
  • Draft and track formal disciplinary actions.
  • Manage the performance improvement plan process.
  • Lead the interactive process for employee accommodation requests.
  • Support compliance-sensitive employee matters.
  • Track and report attendance issues for non-exempt employees.
  • Partner with People Business Partners for escalated ER matters.
  • Maintain organized records for investigations and disciplinary actions.
  • Identify themes and share recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of HR experience with a focus on employee relations.
  • Experience managing disciplinary actions and performance improvement plans.
  • Knowledge of ADA, PWFA, and FMLA.
  • Understanding of employment law and compliance risks.
  • Strong HR generalist foundation.
  • Experience in a startup or high-growth environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Ability to partner effectively with leaders while maintaining neutrality.
  • Strong judgment in balancing employee experience and business risk.
  • Experience with case trackers and dashboards is a plus.
