Overview

Fight for the Future is accepting applications for a Senior Campaign Director. This is a key leadership role for a highly competent organizer within an organization that builds and sustains creative, highly visible campaigns to ensure that technology is a force for liberation and empowerment rather than exploitation and oppression. Fight for the Future is a queer women–led group of activists, strategists, and technologists who have been behind the largest online protests in history.

In Short

  • Building and organizing campaigns (70%): Develop and drive advocacy strategies.
  • Create or direct high-quality communications materials.
  • Act as a spokesperson to the media on campaigns.
  • Manage relationships with businesses and organizations.
  • Tending to big-picture strategy (20%): Monitor regulatory and legislative developments.
  • Support organizational needs (10%): Assist with recruitment and fundraising.
  • At least eight years of experience in relevant fields.
  • Professional writing experience for large audiences.
  • Project management and organizational skills.
  • Commitment to working with diverse backgrounds.

Requirements

  • Experience in organizing and campaigning, legislative advocacy, or writing/journalism.
  • Ability to synthesize complex ideas into concise copy.
  • Familiarity with the news cycle and media relations.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to communicate with diverse groups.
