Overview

The Development Director (DD) will play an instrumental role in leading the Private Equity Stakeholder Project’s fundraising program, developing and implementing a strategy to grow and diversify its current $4 million annual funding base.

In Short

  • Lead fundraising efforts for a non-profit organization.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy.
  • Engage and support staff and board in expanding revenue streams.
  • Oversee day-to-day development operations.
  • Manage relationships with foundations and individual donors.
  • Coordinate with senior management on development goals.
  • Foster a culture of philanthropy within the organization.
  • Prepare development reports for board meetings.
  • Supervise the Development team.
  • Ensure compliance with donor reporting obligations.

Requirements

  • A minimum of nine years of relevant fundraising experience.
  • Strong writing skills for grant proposals and reports.
  • Experience in managing a comprehensive fund development program.
  • Hands-on fundraising experience in policy, research, or democracy building.
  • Demonstrated success in securing foundation grants.
  • Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently.
  • Experience with donor databases and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Commitment to a fair and just economy and climate justice.
  • Experience with wealth screening software preferred.
