Sales Consultant - Mid-Atlantic Region - Remote

Overview

This position is primarily responsible for building strong customer relationships, developing and executing customer strategies for future bids or solicitations within the Mid-Atlantic region supporting the company's annual operating plan.

In Short

• Identifies prospective and repeat customers within the assigned region for new bus sales.
• Develops and maintains relationships with key customer decision makers/influencers.
• Conducts bus demonstrations, presentations, and interviews to identify specific product solutions.
• Acts as a consultant with the customer to develop best value technical and commercial specifications.
• Submits contact reports through CRM after each customer visit.
• Integral to assist in issue/solution resolution on customer issues.
• Leads cross-functional customer team in the development of documented strategies.
• Monitors the health of the customer account and acts as the voice of the customer.
• Achieves quarterly and annual sales targets.
• Represents the company as a member of transit associations within the assigned region.

Requirements

• University degree in business or engineering, or equivalent experience in the transit industry.
• Professional sales training is an asset.
• Strong problem analysis and resolution skills.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-Motivated and effective at managing time.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM.
• Working knowledge of heavy-duty transit bus architecture and components.
• Knowledge of industry standards and funding sources.
