Department Manager, Water/Wastewater - Remote

Overview

Michael Baker International is seeking a Water and Wastewater Department Manager for our Pittsburgh office located in Moon Township, PA. The Water and wastewater department resides within the focused Water Practice within the Moon Office and represents a dedicated business line that is focused on water supply, sanitary sewers, stormwater collection and conveyance / green infrastructure as well as a full range of municipal services.

In Short

• Responsible for building Michael Baker International’s role throughout western Pennsylvania.
• Support project teams and client base.
• Oversee all aspects of a water/wastewater, municipal engineering business.
• Meet with existing clients to identify opportunities.
• Develop new client relationships.
• Monitor project execution and ensure high standards.
• Lead strategic pursuits and QA technical proposals.
• Conduct operational meetings with staff.
• Mentor engineering personnel.
• Participate in industry events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• 10-15 years of civil and/or environmental engineering experience.
• Pennsylvania P.E. license or ability to obtain one.
• Strong leadership and business acumen.
• Knowledge of civil engineering initiatives.
• Proven supervisory skills.
• Experience in a hybrid workplace setting.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment.
