Overview

As a Business Development Representative at Meridianlink, you will fuel our pipeline generation by qualifying pre-pipeline opportunities for the MeridianLink sales team. The BDR is the first point of contact and will be responsible for generating and qualifying leads in both outbound and inbound functions.

In Short

  • Prospect, educate, qualify, and develop contacts to create sales-ready leads and opportunities.
  • Research accounts, identify key roles, and generate interest through cold discovery calls and email campaigns.
  • Create relationships with potential customers to identify their needs and qualify their interests.
  • Present product information to customers once needs are identified.
  • Set up meetings between prospective clients and Account Executives.
  • Work closely with the sales team to improve lead quality and conversion rates.
  • Achieve qualified opportunity quotas to meet revenue objectives.
  • Meet daily metrics involving calls, emails, and social interactions.
  • Use and maintain tech stack including Salesforce.com, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and ZoomInfo.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in business development or sales roles in software or technology.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong phone skills for rapport building and overcoming objections.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organization and time management skills.
  • Resilience and determination.
  • A desire to learn and grow in FinTech.
  • High workplace efficiency.
  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and integrity.
