Overview

The Sales Manager is a critical leadership hire responsible for driving the sales team to consistent quota attainment through hands-on deal execution, in the room presence, and direct accountability for team performance. This role requires a high-energy, customer-facing leader who actively works alongside reps and participates in customer meetings.

In Short

  • Own the team's quota number and be accountable for sales performance outcomes.
  • Spend the majority of time in customer meetings and live deal cycles.
  • Lead deal preparation and strategy sessions with reps.
  • Drive deal velocity by removing blockers and pushing deals to close.
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews with reps.
  • Support and lead complex deal negotiations.
  • Identify new business opportunities.
  • Assist in accurate forecasting and report on team performance metrics.
  • Partner with marketing and leadership to align on priorities.
  • Ensure CRM accuracy and enforce pipeline hygiene standards.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in SaaS or Cloud.
  • 4-6 years of experience managing a quota-carrying sales team.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience selling into large organizations.
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools; NetSuite experience preferred.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • SHRM PMQ certification preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.
