Overview

The Account Manager will build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and grow the Gulf Coast territory revenue of the Standards business with a primary focus in the Reference Materials and Analytical Standards product lines.

In Short

  • Own all assigned Commercial accounts and Strategic site-level locations.
  • Identify and close new opportunities from self-generated leads or marketing-qualified leads.
  • Collaborate with team members to best service customer needs.
  • Use sales tools to manage prospects and sales forecasts.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of key LGC products.
  • Meet and exceed assigned sales targets.
  • Engage with customers to qualify leads and drive new sales.
  • Increase brand awareness by organizing and attending events.

Requirements

  • B.S. in chemistry, physics, biochemistry, biology, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years’ experience in selling technical products in research laboratories.
  • Able to read and interpret RFQs, contracts, and manuals.
  • Experience with CRM platforms like Sales Force.
  • Outstanding commercial awareness and planning abilities.
  • Proven track record of meeting sales targets.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages are an advantage.
  • Willing to travel up to 40% within the designated territory.
