Overview

The Lead Technical Support Engineer at Kyndryl will play a critical role in ensuring customer success by providing expert support for various operating systems and virtualization technologies.

In Short

  • Provide front-line customer support via email, phone, and screen sharing.
  • Be an expert in Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Assist customers with complex environments in Skytap.
  • Work closely with sales teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Engage as a subject matter expert within the support organization.
  • Write technical documents and solutions guides.
  • Mentor and lead other team members.
  • Participate in on-call support as needed.
  • Drive successful outcomes for customers.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technologies.

Requirements

  • Extensive exposure to Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Experience with VMware and virtualization technologies.
  • Ability to debug problems at the admin level.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project planning and time management skills.
  • Knowledge of at least one scripting language is a plus.
  • Experience in customer support roles is preferred.
  • Must be detail-oriented and customer-focused.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Flexibility to work outside regular hours as needed.
