We have an exciting opportunity for a mid-level role as Regional Sales Manager 2 to join our Kontron Family! Regional Sales Manager of Tier 1 & Tier 2 embedded OEM customers in the Western US with special focus on the Industrial/IoT, Medical, Communication, Defense and Transportation verticals. Goal is to achieve rapid Sales growth in Design Wins, Bookings and Revenues. Dedicated to a growth strategy utilizing Direct Sales and various Channel Partners to multiply efforts. Must be a strong and persistent "hunter" with outstanding "closing" skills. Proven relationship builder with exceptional organizational and communication skills to understand the customers business model, strategy, and requirements and to match them with Kontron's capabilities and objectives.

In Short

  • Overall sales management of the Key Accounts, assigned territory
  • Develop and maintain senior level relationships within Key Accounts
  • Grow Key Account customers through accelerated strategies
  • Prospecting of new Sales opportunities
  • Sell into various vertical markets
  • Successfully prospect, drive discovery, and secure new business
  • Reporting of activity through Kontron's CRM
  • Proven experience in building strong customer relationships

Requirements

  • B.S. Electrical Engineering Degree, or equivalent, plus 5 - 10 years of experience
  • Prior experience selling into the Embedded Computer Technology market
  • Strong history of Business Development and hunting skills
  • Demonstrated experience with target account selling
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals
  • Expectation setting experience with customers
  • Ability to clearly and effectively present, sell, negotiate and close business deals
  • Self-motivated ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Remote position with 40% - 60% travel required
