We have an exciting opportunity for an /senior role as Sr. Systems Engineer 3 to join our Kontron Family! Kontron is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Systems Engineer/Architect to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge, ruggedized systems for the aerospace and defense industries. This role requires a deep understanding of system engineering principles, hardware and software integration, and the unique challenges of designing systems for harsh environments.

In Short

  • Lead the design and development activities for innovative system solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define system requirements and specifications.
  • Develop reliability, qualification, and verification plans.
  • Work with industry standards groups and present technical topics.
  • Lead the creation of high-performance embedded computing systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless integration.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and system-level analysis.
  • Ensure designs meet required industry standards.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and trends.
  • Act as internal technical representative for clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in systems engineering.
  • Strong understanding of system engineering principles.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Teams or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity and information assurance principles.
  • Familiarity with requirements management tools.
  • Experience with different operating systems.
  • Understanding of various programming languages.
  • Ability to resolve complex engineering problems.
