Overview

The Sr Systems Engineer will join the Production Application Engineering team at NBCUniversal to enhance workflow and technology adoption by clients, focusing on broadcast technology.

In Short

• Work with vendors to evaluate software and develop roadmaps.
• Contribute to infrastructure and configuration repositories.
• Conduct thorough testing of systems and workflows.
• Act as an escalation resource for internal teams.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for off-hours escalations.
• Gather project requirements from clients.
• Become a subject matter expert on production workflows.
• Support studio and control room-based productions.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux system troubleshooting.
• Experience with broadcast production systems.

Requirements

• BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of experience in broadcast technology.
• Willingness to work outside business hours.
• Experience with system-level troubleshooting.
• Experience communicating with internal clients.
• Interest in infrastructure-as-code methodology.
• Network troubleshooting experience.
• Previous experience with cloud infrastructure.
• Understanding of streaming video formats.
• Desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
