As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality, integrity, and security of Kin’s data assets. You’ll be responsible for building out a data lakehouse for enterprise reporting, which will involve the design and development of data pipelines, modeling raw data for downstream reporting, and quality assurance of the data warehouse.

In Short

Work on cross-functional project teams to design effective reporting solutions.
Establish relationships with stakeholders to define technical requirements.
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and gathering techniques.
Maintain a centralized metadata catalog to document data assets.
Design scalable and maintainable data pipelines and models.
Analyze database configurations for performance optimization.
Conduct root cause analyses and develop debugging strategies.

Requirements

Experience in data engineering focused on warehousing.
Familiarity with data pipeline tools such as dbt and Databricks.
Experience with data ingestion methods including API and CDC replication.
Proficiency in programming languages like SQL, Python, and Java.
Experience with databases like AWS Redshift and MySQL.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
