Overview

As a Business Development Manager - Marketing, your main mission is to drive strategic revenue growth in the North American video game market. You will leverage your deep industry expertise to secure high-value partnerships with global game publishers, utilizing Keywords Studios' unique ability to find, attract, and retain players through data analytics and creative marketing excellence.

In Short

  • Primary revenue driver: Identify, prospect, and close high-value deals targeting key global game publishers and developers.
  • Expertly sell the full range of Engagement marketing services designed for the game lifecycle.
  • Utilize Keywords insights to define player profiles and analyze the market.
  • Develop community-centered social strategies and execute global influencer campaigns for AAA and indie titles.
  • Obtain high-impact media coverage and manage reputation within the gaming community.
  • Collaborate with publishers to deliver impactful trailers, key visuals, and digital content.
  • Develop and execute a sales roadmap prioritizing high-growth accounts in the gaming sector.
  • Establish and maintain high-level relationships with marketing and publishing departments of major global video game companies.
  • Work closely with our global creative and production studios to provide integrated, world-class marketing solutions.
  • Represent the brand as an ambassador at major video game events such as GDC, Summer Game Fest, PAX, and Gamescom.

Requirements

  • Deep industry expertise with direct experience working for or with global video game publishers.
  • Proven sales record with over 5 years of experience in a business development role, specifically in the video game or adjacent marketing space.
  • In-depth understanding of the global gaming ecosystem, including platform trends, player behavior, and the influencer and social media landscape.
  • Strong and active network of contacts within the North American gaming industry (publishers, developers, and agencies).
  • Exceptional storytelling and presentation skills; able to translate marketing services into a compelling ROI-focused narrative for game executives.
  • Self-starter with the discipline to manage sales cycles independently while reporting to a global leadership structure.
