Compliance Support Specialist, Forestry - Remote

Overview

The Compliance Support Specialist will ensure Hispanic Access Foundation meets all core compliance obligations under the $25M USDA Forest Service cooperative agreement, focusing on federally required compliance functions, subrecipient monitoring, and audit readiness.

In Short

• Lead the development of a comprehensive Forestry Program compliance plan.
• Monitor and update compliance plans regularly.
• Provide training and technical assistance to staff and subrecipients.
• Maintain compliance files for Hispanic Access and its subawardees.
• Prepare and submit FFATA reports for all new subawards.
• Verify compliance with procurement standards for contracts and subawards.
• Confirm that costs charged are allowable under Uniform Guidance.
• Maintain documentation for federal monitoring and audits.
• Assist with audit responses and records requests.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, public administration, or related field.
• 3+ years of federal grant compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of subrecipient monitoring and federal reporting.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to support staff and partners on compliance requirements.
