Staff Software Engineer, Web (Care Hub) - Remote

Overview

Headspace is seeking a Staff Software Engineer, Web to join the Care Hub team. We are responsible for Care Hub, our in-house Electronic Health Record (EHR) system and the experience of our Care Providers (health coaches, therapists, and psychiatrists) to deliver high-quality care through video and text-based sessions to our members.

• Lead projects from requirements gathering through implementation, collaborating closely with product, design, and data engineering stakeholders.
• Drive the evolution of overall system architecture and quality of our care platform.
• Collaborate with engineering and cross-functional partners to define, design, ship, and monitor new features.
• Apply your passion for user experience and technical expertise to design and build high impact user workflows.
• Set the standard for quality and technical excellence through code and design reviews.
• Mentor junior team members, fostering their growth through open and constructive feedback.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software development experience.
• Proven track record of successfully leading large teams and delivering complex projects.
• Strong expertise in modern frontend frameworks such as React or Next.js.
• Strong technical communication skills, written and verbal.
• Deep understanding of state management libraries, such as Redux.
• Exposure to API Development, in Node.js, Django, Java or similar.
• Demonstrated ability to make tough and sound technical decisions.
• Experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
• Exposure to alerting, logging and monitoring frameworks.
